Every range on this site starts from a national 2026 baseline built from real homeowner quotes, then adjusts for each metro's cost of living (labor rates and local disposal or tipping fees). We show the full low-to-high band rather than a single "average" because the same job legitimately varies with access, size and timing — and we flag the local permit rules and seasonal patterns that move your specific quote up or down.

What's included in a tree removal quote?

Labor, equipment, cleanup and haul-away should all be itemized. Watch for quotes that exclude stump grinding — it's almost never in the base price.
